Meh....

So the theme for this past weekend was "Meh".  I didn't do much.
On Friday, I went to a sketchy restaurant with a friend and had the BEST nachos! The restaurant is located downtown Toronto and the crowd is very.......... diverse. lol. It is a sit down restaurant, but you have to find your own seat. It gets busy so the wait can be long, but my friend and I lucked out and got a seat in less than 10 minutes. The nachos were sooo good. My camera, like everything else in my life, is broken, so no pictures. *Note to self; buy a camera in New York*. However, back to the nachos, it was layered with ground beef, black beans, salsa and cheese and then baked. We had our guacamole and sour cream on the side. It was delicious!!!!!!!!!! We also ordered a picture of sangria to wash it down. MMMmm... that was a good food night. lol!
To finish the evening off I missed my last train home. Public transportation in Canada, well Ontario is very inconvenient; the train stops running at 1:30 a.m. and the busses take an eternity to come by after that. I live in a city outside of the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and my last bus is at 1:20 a.m. The next bus after that is at six a.m. (the number on my laptop is not working... see previous post lol). So after the delicious nachos and pricy sangria at the sketchy restaurant, I missed my last bus home. I was about to text my other friend to crash at her place, but was informed that the train will be out of service in 2 minutes, therefore I wouldn’t make it. Needless to say, I was stranded. Lol! I didn’t want to blow sixty dollars on a cab (taxi fares are another pain in the ass topic.... it starts @ $4!!!!!! Just for sitting in the cab, you have to pay $4! *sigh* ridiculous). A really nice bus driver offered to drive me home in his out of service bus. I was a bit afraid I would end up on the six o’clock news, but really, I didn’t have a choice. I told a couple of my friends what was going on and gave them the bus number, this way if I did end up missing, they would have an idea of who to look for. Lol! The bus driver was nice and the ride home was pleasant; I was the only one in the bus and the driver did not attempt to talk my ears off. I was very grateful for his help; I want to tell GO what a great driver/person he was, but I’m afraid what he did was against their policy, so I don’t want to get him into any sort of trouble.
Sat was boring. The highlight of my evening was the train ride home; you meet many interesting people that way. Random person asked me out to dinner in front of everyone on the train, I’m exaggerating, about fifteen people were paying attention to us. He was really sweet and funny, so I took his number because I didn’t want to embarrass him, but I have no intention of calling. He wasn’t my type, also, the thought of dating makes me tired... *sigh* that’s another topic. I’m gonna be alone forever. Lol!
NEW  YORK in 3 days!!!! My plan is to complete four or five units of my TESOL before I leave. Wish me luck.
